Discover the region

Bollène

The troglodytic village of Barry:

Built on the site of an ancient Celtic oppidum, some of whose remains can still be seen, this troglodytic village, inhabited until the 19th century, has been restored. Considered as one of the most remarkable in France, it will allow you to discover about forty astonishing dwellings, dug right into the cliff, during the 16th century. The ruins of a medieval fortress, destroyed in the 14th century, offer an exceptional view of the Rhône valley.

The collegiate church of Saint-Martin:

This large 11th century collegiate church, classified as a historic monument in 1909, was built on the site of a former Romanesque priory. Nowadays, in addition to an interesting Renaissance portal, it offers us the contemplation of an impressive nave overhung by a gabled roof structure. From the garden, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of Bollène.
